Our Pantanal Trip
Sharon put together a glorious wildlife extravaganza for us on this trip. Almost from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we saw animals, birds, reptiles, and scenery that was awesome and soul-satisfying. I've tried to give some idea of this feast day by day--but to really understand, you have to go there!

on February 1, 2017This Jaguar was sitting along the shore, waiting for dinner to pass by (caimon or capybara) during a 2013 trip to Brazil. Porto Jofre, where we boarded the boat, is located at the end of the Transpantaneira where the road meets the Cuiabá river. We saw at least 9 individual Jaguars, not to mention GIANT otters, monkeys, and birds beyond measure.
I will be forever grateful to have been included on this fabulous trip!
