Wild Horses of Wild Horse Island
Read MoreFilly and friend on Wild Horse Island in Montana--The indians used to keep there horses on this big island to keep them safe from other invading tribes. In the 70s, they decided that an island called Wild Horse Island should have some wild horses on it, so they got some real ones from Wyoming and established a tradition of 5 horses. I went year after year to catch sight on one, and in the 20 years there, never once succeeded. They just added 4 fillies because the old ones had died off. And one filly, unbeknownst to anyone, was pregnant. Viola!
