A perfect morning to visit

Cedar Waxwings seem to enjoy this little island

I watched this pair of male Flickers play tag for about 5 minutes—they would pose at each other and then one would fly off only to have the chase start all over again. I was torn between watching their antics and admiring the handsome Cedar Waxwings in a bush along the shore. Finally one Flicker flew off and must have taken a bath (missed that, darn). The other Flicker kept calling and calling, but the damp one just preened and ignored him.
