Butterscotch was found as a stray at a shelter.
Magnolia was born sterile at a dairy farm a.k.a. useless for the dairy industry and was going to be given away on Craigslist before Animal Place intervened
Timi was confiscated by Animal Control with 40+ other rabbits that were being sold on Craigslist as "pets or food."
Annie was rescued from a slaughterhouse where you pick which goat you want slaughtered -- she was rescued at 4 years old and is 15 and happy as can be now! In the background is Vincent Van Goat, mauled by dogs and found in the middle of the road. Missing an ear, but happy otherwise!
Nicholas was born at a dairy farm and sold for $15 at an auction; purchaser chained him up outside of a Berkley apartment complex until Animal Control confiscated him -- he's certainly worth more than $15, he's priceless!
Patrons of Simply County feed store notified Animal Control about a mauled and neglected piglet. That piglet was Cleo and Animal Control confiscated over 300 animals from that feed store.
Jett was found tied to a flagpole. Authorities were called after witnesses saw her being dragged through the streets and, luckily, she was then brought to Animal Place
Jessica was rescued from a slaughterhouse 10 years ago. Note her adorable ears that curl up...goats that are used for showing often get their naturally folded ears "corrected" by snapping the ligaments to make their ears straight - yikes! I love her curled ears!
Beatrix was an abandoned companion animal, dropped at a northern California animal shelter and stayed there a year before being taken in by Animal Place
