  • Kokanee Salmon. Fresh-water salmon. They spawn in the creek, dig shallow holes in the gravel creek bed for the eggs, the males fertilize the eggs and both parents protect the area. They may do this several time, but the female soon dies, the male dies a week or so later. Lots of dead fish around.
