Point Reyes Safari February 2017
Despite some rain and my poorly timed cold, Renda and I had a fantastic trip led my Daniel Dietrich of Pt Reyes Safaris. He led us to an array of wildlife that we never would have found on our own--a badger, a bobcat hunting and catching a gopher, owls, and raptors galore. But most amazing was that tiny spec on a hillside that became a badger out for a little stroll! After a full day with Daniel, we stayed over and in spite of pouring rain, managed to get very close to a herd of Elk and way too close to a giant male Elephant Seal!

Notice those claws!
Missed the shot, but apparently he ran by and squirted her!
As one authority puts it "Courtship is dramatic with chases, charges, leaps over each other, and sprayed urine."
Next few pictures show a little mating ritual, Black-tailed Jackrabbit variety
