Farallon Islands with Penny and Sharon July 09
It was very cold and the sea was rough--people without patches got very sick. But it was a bracing experience! The Islands are covered with birds--Cormorants and Common Murres, and yet we know that these birds are having a hard time finding food during this time of climate change. Not too many whales, but many Albatross, Pigeon and Rhinoceros Auklets, Shearwaters,Tufted Puffins, a few Dolphins, Seals, and Sea Lions and more than enough huge waves.
